Mama Joe’s food truck was founded in 2022 by Melissa & kendal Mattox as a tribute to Melissa's late mother, Josephine Warren Preston who tragically lost her battle with pancreatic cancer in 2018. Known for her compassion and generosity, she never hesitated to extend hospitality to anyone through her food and home. I, Melissa Gilbert have been a mental health clinician (QMHP) over 25 years in this area serving the community battling with mental health issues to help maintain stability to prevent the risk of hospitalization. I've seen first hand what a difference serving love through food can make.

The food is prepared homemade as a dedicated homage to her love and passion for cooking and nurturing others. Our menu items are freshly cooked and made with love, which consist of Fried Fish, Fresh Cut Chicken Tenders, Chicken Wings, homemade hotdog chili on beef hotdog, fresh cut fries and so much more! Not only do we operate our food truck, we also offer caterings services and sell some of our menu items in bulk size. Our flour, which is utilized on our fried items is also available for sale in our store. Soul food has long been celebrated for its ability to unite families and loved ones, and our food aims to enhance those moments by giving you flavorful meals for your family.
